Abstract
Infertility affects 70 to 80% of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). As per
a recent report by the World Health Organization, one in six adults globally, or 17.5%
of the population, suffers from infertility, indicating the urgent need to expand
access to high-quality, affordable reproductive care for those who require it. Homeopathic
treatment is considered a safe, holistic, and cost-effective method to treat these
type of cases. This case report demonstrates that homeopathic treatment can help in
conceiving naturally. A 30-year-old woman presented with 2 years of infertility, alongside
delayed menses, hirsutism, hair loss, and obesity, diagnosed with PCOS according to
Rotterdam Criteria. After repertorization and considering symptoms within the potential
differential field, Calcarea carbonica 200C was prescribed. Following this, Natrum carbonicum 30C addressed a newly emerged symptom of postcoital vaginal discharge. Conception
occurred within 5 months of homeopathic treatment. This case suggests the potential
of homeopathic interventions in cases of infertility associated with PCOS. The Modified
Naranjo Criteria for Homeopathy (MONARCH) confirmed a definitive causal link between
the medication and outcome. Further validated studies are essential for the broader
application of these findings.
